The Good Shepherd

Pastor Steve Baker explores Jesus’ words, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep” (John 10:11). Against the backdrop of a broken, chaotic world, we’re reminded that Christ knows His sheep by name, speaks to them, leads them, protects them, and never abandons them. Unlike a hireling, Jesus voluntarily laid down His life at the cross and rose again, giving His sheep eternal life and absolute security in His hand. Listeners are challenged to examine whether they can truly say, “The Lord is my shepherd,” and to rest in His faithful, unchanging care.
