Verse of the week for December 3 - December 9

“And the angel said unto her, Fear not Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.”
- Luke 1:30-31

What an amazing event that we are given insight into! As the angel is speaking to Mary, can you just imagine the thoughts that are going through her mind. She’s a virgin. She will ask the question, “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?” Mary was a chosen vessel of God that His Son would be born through. The angel even told Mary His name. Jesus. What a name the name Jesus. Jesus means Saviour. The saviour of the world is about to arrive on scene. God in the flesh. God is preparing to give His only begotten son as the sacrifice for our sin. Gods love for us is amazing! As we approach this Christmas season let’s stop long enough to thank God for the greatest gift that has or ever could be given, JESUS! Bless each one of you this week and during this time as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Bless His Holy Name.
