Verse of the week for December 10 - December 16

 “And the angel said unto them, fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
- Luke 2:10-11

These words were spoken to the shepherds many years ago. These shepherds were not of the religious leaders of the day. These were plain, simple, ordinary individuals. However God chose to reveal the good news of the Saviour’s birth unto them.  Chosen of God these men had a story to tell, a message to share. Do you remember when the Lord showed himself unto you? It may have been through a message that you heard. It could have been through the witness of a family member or a friend. However it may have come to pass, the important thing is that you heard the message. Romans 10:17 tells us, “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” How wonderful it is to be a child of God and what a blessing it is to share the message with others. Pause during this Christmas season and thank God for the gift of His Son then share Him with someone else for the Glory of God!
