Verse Of the Week for April 21 - April 27

“Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded and yet there is room.”
- Luke 14:22

This verse is part of one of the many parables that Jesus taught. The last four words declare, “…yet there is room.” I am so thankful for the time that we are living in! People may say that the world is in such confusion and chaos. Well it is. But in spite of the things that are going on in today’s world, God never changes. He is still the same. We are living in an exciting time if we will just stop and think about it. We are seeing scripture being fulfilled before our very eyes! The Bible has given to us events that we can see taking place just prior to the Lords return. We don’t need to have our heads stuck in the sand. Jesus said when we see these things coming to pass that we should, “ lift up our heads for our redemption draweth nigh.”

The Lord is coming just as He has promised. We don’t know the day or the hour, we know that He will come just as He says. The exciting thing is the fact that right now, today, “yet there is room.” Salvation is a whosoever will salvation. The day of grace is continuing today. There is still room for others to be saved. We, as believers, need to be telling others about Jesus. He is the only means of salvation. He said,” I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the father,but by me.” John 14:6. Yet there is room. For that husband, wife, child, mom, dad, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, cousin, neighbor, friend, coworker, classmate, whosoever it is that has not been saved. Yet there is room! Let’s get busy telling others about Jesus! Oh what a name, Jesus.
