Verse Of the Week for June 23 - June 29

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

- 1 John 5:13

How thankful we should be for the Word of God. God’s Word tells us where we came from, (We are Gods creation) the fall of man, and Gods provision to redeem man. God loved you and I so much that He gave His only begotten Son that if we would believe on Him we would not perish but have everlasting life. In Romans 5:8 we are told, “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Amen! All we must do is believe on Him. To believe is to trust, have faith in, Jesus Christ and His finished work. 1 John 5:13. Says that these things were written to those that believe in the name of the Son of God, that we (that believe) May know that we have eternal life. Salvation that comes from God through His Son Jesus Christ is a know so salvation. You don’t have to think so, guess so, hope so, you can know that you are saved and possess eternal life! Trust, believe, that He will do and has already done exactly as His Word says. His Word is forever settled in heaven. He never changes and His Word never changes. He will do and always will do exactly as His Word says. My prayer is that each one of you that read this, “Verse of the Week,” is saved. If not, trust Gods plan of salvation. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart. Trust in the Word of God. If you are saved, my prayer is that each one of you have the Blessed Assurance that you have eternal life. May the Lord Bless each and every one of you today!
