Verse Of the Week for June 2 - June 8

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

- Hebrews 4:12

This verse tells us that the Word of God is “quick and powerful.” The Word of God is alive. The Bible is  the living Word of God. We serve a living God who manifests himself in three persons. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. His Word is alive and reveals unto us the will of God. First of all the living Word of God reveals unto us Gods plan of salvation. Without the Word of God man would be eternally lost and without hope. That’s why it is so important for young and old alike to hear the Word of God. A lot of area churches are about to have Vacation Bible School. What a tremendous opportunity awaits us to share the living Word of God. Sharing with the young people who attend as well as adults, Gods simple plan of salvation. There is power in the Word of God to soften the hardest of hearts! I believe that if we will be faithful in sharing the “living, powerful” Word of God, that God will give the increase. Please make it a matter of sincere prayer that we all will have our hearts burdened for souls to be saved by Gods amazing grace.
