Verse Of The Week for December 21 - 27

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

- Luke 2:11

These words were spoken to the shepherds by the angel of the Lord on the night Jesus Christ was born. What great news this is, not only to them but to you and I. We once were in this world,”having no hope, and without God in the world.” Eph. 2:12. However God in His love provided exactly what was necessary for our hopeless condition. He sent His Son, gave His Son, offered His Son as the payment, or sacrifice for our sin. We must accept by faith what Christ has already done for us that we could have a right relationship with God. We come this week celebrating the birth, life, and yes death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! The greatest gift ever given to sinful man is the precious Son of God. If you don’t know Him as your personal Savior, call upon Him now, believing upon Him with your whole heart and you can receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord!
