Verse of the week for January 28 - February 3
“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;”
- Phillipians 3:10
- Phillipians 3:10
For the last couple of weeks we’ve been looking at this verse penned by the Apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, to the church at Philippi. Think for a moment about what this verse is saying. Paul wanted to know the Lord in a deeper manner. He wanted to experience the power of the Lords resurrection in his own life.
Now we see this part of the verse. “The fellowship of his sufferings “ Think about having a desire for a deeper, more intimate relationship with the Lord and to have the power of His resurrection in every aspect of life. Now the longing for the fellowship of His sufferings. 2 Timothy 3:12 tells us, “ Yea,and all that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” The early Apostles in Acts 5:41 rejoiced that they were counted worth to suffer shame for His name. Paul in his desire wanted to be completely sold out, committed, and used by the Lord regardless of anything else! Lord help us to genuinely know you, be fully committed and faithful to you, regardless of anything else. Help us to rededicate, recommit, our entire lives unto you for your honor and glory! May God Bless each of you that read this today!
