Verse Of the Week for August 25 - August 31

Verse Of the Week for August 25 - August 31

“For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.”

- Psalms 33:21
This verse has so much to say to us regarding rejoicing. Just think about this verse that the Psalmist has penned down. It says that our heart shall rejoice in Him…” We may be joyful over a lot of different things, but this says that our heart shall rejoice. The heart is man’s innermost feeling. The heart has much to do with our own personal salvation. Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” To the Ethiopian Eunuch Phillip said, “If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest.” Phillip had preached unto the eunuch , Jesus. The eunuch said, here is water, what hinders me from being baptized? Then came Phillip’s answer. If thou believest with all thine heart…” . You see salvation is much more than a head knowledge of Jesus and who he is. It’s a heart knowledge. The Psalmist said, “ Our heart shall rejoice in Him. Our heart is changed the split second we are changed. Now our heart rejoice in Him. Not in what we have done or have accomplished, but in what He alone has done for us! You see the last part of our verse this week states, “because we have trusted in His holy name.” To trust is to have faith in, or confidence in His Name! We (as children of God) can rejoice in our hearts because we have trusted in His holy name! Amen! Have a Blessed week! ❤️5020202020Recent
