Verse of the week for January 7 - January 13

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
- Jeremiah 33:3

The invitation from the Lord is for each and every one of us. The Lord asks us to call unto Him. The Bible is full of invitations to call upon Him, trusting Him with all our heart. Many times in this life we don’t know what we need to do or what direction we need to go in. But we have assurance from Gods’ word just to call upon Him. He knows what we need and when we need it. His timing and provisions are perfect and right on time. He has promised us that if we call upon Him that He will answer us. Know this, His answers are according to His will for our lives. Sometimes the answer may be yes, sometimes the answer may be no, sometimes the answer may be wait. We like the “yes” answers but have difficulty with the “no” and “wait “ answers. He encourages us to call upon Him and He will answer us. Then He promises to show us “great and mighty things “ that we know nothing about! I am so thankful that regardless of our situation or circumstances that the Lord simply encourages us to call upon Him with the great assurance that He will answer us, and show to us these great and mighty things that we didn’t know. What a Blessing to know one that we can call upon, at any time, and that He will answer us, and show unto us the direction or decisions that we should make. He is right here with us in every area of our lives to lead us and direct us in what we may consider “small” things or “huge” things. We must trust Him with all of our hearts. Romans 1:17 tells us that “The just shall live by faith.” Let’s endeavor to live our lives every day by faith, trusting the Lord in all things. “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
