Verse Of the Week for April 14 - April 20

“but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.”

Testimonies. Think about an individual’s testimony. Anyone that has been saved by Gods amazing grace has a testimony. Our testimonies are great. A testimony is telling what the Lord has done in our lives. We are all saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Each of our testimonies are important to us as well as to those we share them with. It is truly an honor to be able to share with others what Christ has done in our lives. I think about the testimony of the Apostle Paul. Every opportunity he had, he shared what Christ had done in his life. Paul’s testimony focused on three things. You can read this in his time in Jerusalem that he testified before the people. Acts 21:1-21. His speech before King Agrippa recorded in Acts 26:1-18. In these accounts of Paul’s testimony he shared, 1. What his life was like before he came to faith in Christ. 2. How he came to faith in Christ. 3. What his life is like since coming to faith in Christ. He told others what he was like, about getting saved, the the difference in his life. We that are saved have that same testimony. Never be afraid or ashamed to share your testimony with others. Your testimony may be a tool to point a lost soul to faith in Jesus Christ! Our verse this week says to be ready to give an answer. We need to be ready to testify for Jesus. If you that are reading this today are saved take the opportunity today and every day to share your testimony with someone. It may be a family member, a coworker, a neighbor, or just someone the Lord places in your path today. Never be ashamed to share what Jesus has done in your life!
