Verse Of the Week for October 27 - November 2

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…”

- Psalms 33:12

I am so thankful for the fact that I was born in America. When we think about how far this nation has come in the 248 years of existence. America was founded upon the principles of the Word of God. As a result God Blessed this great nation of ours. In my lifetime alone I have witnessed many changes in our country. Our nation, as a whole, has turned away from God. America has reached a point today that it feels that it just doesn’t need God. Many sing at sporting events, etc “God Bless America.” God can Bless and will Bless America again if she will turn back to God. America in this day and age has forgotten where her Blessing truly come from. On the world scene we are living in a chaotic time frame. People are searching for the answers to all the problems that we are facing. There is only one answer to these problems. It’s in the Lord Jesus Christ. He and He alone is the answer to the problems our nation and the world faces today. Many people today say that America has gone too far for God to Bless her again. It will take repentance, (an about face, a turning away from Satan and sin, and turning back to God and righteousness) Psalms 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…” We may think that this is an impossibility. We serve a mighty big God that with Him nothing is impossible! Pray for America. Pray for Israel. Pray for families and homes. Pray for our churches. Pray for the children. Pray one for another. Pray for a tremendous move of God upon our nation! We have been Blessed in times past because we trusted in God. As a nation and as individuals, without Him we can do nothing! Dear Lord, Help me as an individual, and us that are children of God, to be burdened by the condition of our country. Help our nation to turn back to you that we can once again be Blessed by you. We pray that our nation would be united and not divided. Help us to genuinely love one another each and every day. We love you Lord and sure do thank you for loving us. Amen.
