Verse Of the Week for November 24 - November 30
“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.”
- 1 Timothy 1:15
- 1 Timothy 1:15
We are entering into the week of Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. I began to ponder over what I am truly thankful for. We could make a long list. Family, friends, church, church family, our homes, jobs, health, etc. But what am I truly thankful for? The number one thing that I am thankful for is that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. That was His sole purpose in coming into this world. Jesus said in the Gospel of Matthew 20:28, “ Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Again in The Gospel of Luke 19:10, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” I am so glad that Jesus came to save sinners for I am the worst sinner that has ever been born. We all have so much to be thankful for and the thing that I am most thankful for is that He came to save sinners. For we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 tells us so.
Dear friend if you have not been saved, born again, know this, God loves you! He loved you so much that He sent His only begotten Son that if you would believe in Him, you would not perish but have everlasting life. The Gospel message according to the Word of God, in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, is that,”Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” Amen! We have so much to be thankful for during this week of Thanksgiving and every week!
