Verse Of the Week for November 10 - November 16
“Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.”
- Isaiah 45:22
- Isaiah 45:22
We are living in a day where people are searching for answers. What’s the answer for all the conflicts that are occurring in our present world? What’s the answer for our nation’s economic problems? What’s the answer for the division in our country? What’s the answer for our families? You see there are so many different things that we are concerned about and are focused on. These are all real, genuine issues that we all are facing.
However, I want us to look at the most crucial issue that is facing each and every single person. The issue concerning one’s salvation. Isaiah 45:22 is Gods call to each and every person that has been or ever will be born into this world. He says, Look unto me…” We look for a lot of things in many, many different places. However there is only one place that we can look for and find salvation. That is in the Lord Jesus Christ. In John 3:16 Jesus states, ”For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.” You see God loves you, and He asks you to look upon Him, “and be ye saved.” There is no other that can and will save you other than Jesus. John 14:6 Jesus states, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” You see Jesus is not “a” way, but “the” way. The only way. Acts 4:12 states, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Are you searching for something to fill that emptiness and void in your life? Try Jesus. He is the answer and only answer to an individual’s salvation. There is a a song that we sing at church often that asks a question. The song title is, “Do you know my Jesus?” It says, Have you a heart that’s weary, Tending a load of care: Are you a soul that’s seeking Rest from the burden you bear? Then the chorus says, Do you know my Jesus, Do you know my friend, Have you heard He loves you, And that He will abide till the end? I have a question. Do you know my Jesus? Not do you know about Him, but do you know Him as your Lord and Saviour? If not, You can know Him. Call upon Him, repenting (turning away from) your sin, and ask Him into your heart and life. He simply asks, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” The most important thing that will ever happen to you in this life is to be saved. Call upon Him now.
