Verse Of The Week for April 13 - April 19

“Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here but is risen:…”

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is utmost importance to the Christian faith. We celebrate this week not only the death of our Savior( He died for our sins according to the scriptures 1 Corinthians 15:3) but we celebrate the fact that he rose again! If it were not for His resurrection, His death would be useless. He is risen from the grave. Through His death, burial, and resurrection we have not only forgiveness of ours sins but become possessors of Eternal Life! Hallelujah! Praise His Wonderful Name! Without His resurrection our faith would be in vain and we still would be in ours sins condemned before God! Take time this week to reflect upon the price our Lord paid for our sins and the importance of His resurrection as described in 1 Corinthians chapter 15. Because He lives we live also!

Dear Lord. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for dying for our sins. Thank you for willingly giving yourself in our place to pay a price we couldn’t pay. Thank you for the resurrection and the power of the resurrection. Thank you for eternal life that we, that are saved, already have. We love you and praise your Wonderful Name! Amen!
