Verse Of the Week for July 14 - July 20
“O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.”
- Isaiah 25:1
- Isaiah 25:1
We been looking at this verse for a couple of weeks. Isaiah, inspired of the Holy Spirit, penned these words down. We have already seen that he declares that the Lord is his God and that he would exalt Him.
Now let’s look at the next part of this tremendous verse. He says , “I will praise thy name…” Isaiah is making a statement of where his heart is. His heart is fixed upon praising his God! When we consider all of the blessings, the peace, the joy, the love, that we as believers have in Christ, our hearts will be filled with praise to the only one that worthy of our praise. How wonderful it is to be a child of God. Be a possessor of eternal life. Know that we have an eternal home in heaven with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Read the Psalms. They are filled with praise unto the Lord. As we pray, study His Word, and live for Him, we cannot help but praise His wonderful Name! Dear Lord, help us each and every day to be focused upon you and your goodness and grace. Help us with our whole heart to worship and praise you. For you alone are worthy of all praise, honor, and glory! Amen.
