Verse Of the Week for November 17 - November 23
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.”
- Psalms 100:4
- Psalms 100:4
We are approaching the Thanksgiving holiday. There are so many things that we have to be thankful for. The list for each of us could go on and on. We must slow down in our fast paced lives to stop and truly be thankful. This verse says to “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise…” As we come into the Lords presence we should always have a thankful heart. Just being able to get up in the morning and take a deep breath of fresh air should cause us to be thankful. To sit down and have a meal that the Lord has given unto us should cause us to have a thankful heart. The list could not be completed in our lifetime. The Psalmist says to enter into His gates, His presence with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. To come before Him with a thankful heart will cause us to praise Him and to worship Him! We then will be thankful unto Him and to Bless His name. There is none other name any greater or any higher than the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour!
Heavenly Father, we pray that we will have a thankful heart. As we ponder upon all that you have done and continue to do for us, we praise and worship you and Bless your Holy Name!
