Verse of the week for March 3 - March 9

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:57.
My favorite song from the church hymnal is “Victory in Jesus.” This song really sums up what 1 Cor. 15:57 is saying. It starts off with, “I heard an old, old story how a Saviour came from glory…” Aren’t you glad that you (that are saved) heard the Word of God, and that Word contains the Gospel message. If you look at 1 Cor. 1:1-4 it tells us what the Gospel is, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that He was buried and rose again according to the scriptures. The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the Gospel!

The remaining verses of 1 Cor. 15 deal with the importance of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and that because of His resurrection you and I (that are saved) have the assurance of our resurrection and living with Him for eternity. Death has no hold on the child of God. We have victory over death because of the resurrection of Christ. We all love life. I love the life that the Lord has Blessed me with, but I am so thankful that I have the assurance of Eternal Life through Jesus Christ. God has already, right now, presently, given unto us (that are saved) victory. We have victory through Jesus Christ. Through what He already has done and is doing every single day. If you are saved thank God every day for the Blessings and Benefits of being a child of God! If you are reading these words today and haven’t been saved as yet. It’s not too late!

The Bible states that we all are sinners: Romans 3:23.
The wages of sin is death: Romans 6:23.
God loves you: John 3:16.
Confess and believe upon Him: Romans 10:8-11.
Call upon Him: Romans 10:13.
Know that you are safe and secure in Him: John 10:27-29.

Tell someone what the Lord has done for you!
